Save the Children conducts largest global survey of its kind among 25.000 children and adults on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children.

On August 27 & 28, in collaboration with Prudential, Eastspring and Red Cross, Save the Children have distributed medical supplies to the Department of Health in Da Nang. Face masks, hand sanitizers and PPE will be provided to patients and medical professionals at the frontline hospitals to minimize community transmission.

In August 2020, Save the Children organized a two-day online training session on professional teaching meetings (PTM) for more than 200 teachers from primary schools and preschools in five project provinces namely Đồng Tháp, Quảng Bình, Tiền Giang, Hải Phòng, Đà Nẵng. The activity is under the project “Improving the quality of education for deprived children in Vietnam”. The training provided teachers with theoretical knowledge on PTM as well as skills to smoothly and effectively run PTM. During the training, all participants are divided into groups for practising PTM.
