CASE STUDY: Step up to lead the future

“I used to feel hesitant when talking about my problems but now I feel confident, open to talk to our peers about this sensitive topic. I’m happy that more and more friends of mine are open to share their problems and seeking for supports,” shared Truc - a student from Ray ethnic minority group who led the Adolescent Reproductive Health campaign in Lao Cai followed SC’s SHIFT model.

Child-led initiative under Sponsorship project in Lao Cai | Mô hình CLB Măng Non tại Lào Cai

Since 2021, Save the Children piloted the child-led initiative in 10 secondary schools in Lao Cai province.

Save the Children hosts forums for children’s voices

Save the Children in collaboration with relevant authorities of Ho Chi Minh City hosted a series of child forums at district and city levels to create a platform for children to raise their voices and concerns as well as enhance child participation in the decision making process of policies affecting them.

Press Release: Save the Children promotes reading habits among children

Hanoi, 14 June – Today, Save the Children hosted a ‘National Reading Day’ in Hanoi to promote reading habits, enhance access and availability of reading materials for children, and advocate for supporting children in developing their foundational literacy and math skills. Children, including ethnic minority children from the provinces of Yen Bai and Quang Nam, parents, teachers, policy makers, and relevant stakeholders attended the event.
