Children’s Forum of District 10 – 2020

On September 16 and 18, the People's Committee of District 10, Ho Chi Minh City and Save the Children jointly organized “Children’s Forum of District 10 – 2020” with the participation of representatives from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA), leaders of the People's Council of District 10 and children representatives from five schools in the area.

Promoting active participation of Yen Bai youth in socio-economic development

On 19 June 2020, the project “Participate: Empowered CSOs and ethnic minority youth for active participation in decision making in Yen Bai, Vietnam” funded by the European Union (EU) was launched by Save the Children (SC) and the Center for Sustainable Development of Mountainous Communities (SUDECOM) in Yen Bai city with the participation of relevant local authorities, representatives of local civil society organizations (CSOs), mass organizations and youth from nine project communes, Tran Yen district in Yen Bai province.

Save the Children organized "Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting" (PDEP) training program in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City

"There must be another way to teach children other than to hit and scold them!"

This concern was raised and discussed with the participants of the PDEP facilitator training program - "Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting" in February and March in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Information about the research on children physical and mental punishment, the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child and the healthy development of children from 0 to 18 years old were also shared with over 50 facilitators.
