Ring the Golden Bell on the topic of Child Protection and Child Abuse Prevention

“Now I understand what child abuse is. I will not hit or yell at my children again.”

This is what Ms. Xia, a parent in Bat Xat district shared while participating in one among 177 communications events of Ring the Golden Bell on the topic of Child Protection and Child Abuse Prevention held in 59 kindergartens in 5 districts in Lao Cai province (Bat Xat, Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Muong Khuong and Van Ban). Save the Children collaborated with project schools to organize these events under as part of our Child-centered Community Development Program.

INAUGURATION OF NEONATAL UNIT OF PEDIATRICS DEPARTMENT AT NGHIA LO AREA GENERAL HOSPITAL, YEN BAI PROVINCE

On November 4, 2021, the treatment area of Neonatal Unit of Pediatrics Department – Nghia Lo Area General Hospital officially opened. In recent years, the Neonatology Unit of the Department of Pediatrics has successfully treated many premature infants with severe diseases such as sepsis, meningitis, neonatal respiratory failure, inflammation, bowel necrosis, etc.

OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF “SAFE BACK TO SCHOOL” PROJECT IN QUANG BINH

On November 05, in cooperation with Quang Binh Department of Education and Training (Quang Binh DOET), Save the Children organized the launching workshop of “Safe back to school” project. There were around 30 participants attending the workshop, including representatives from Quang Binh DOET, Quang Binh People’s Committee, Department of Foreign Affairs, Bureau of Education and Training in Bo Trach and Quang Trach district, as well as teachers and school board of 12 project schools.
