VOICES OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

On the morning of 28/08/2022, nearly 100 children with disabilities, parents, caregivers, representatives of associations/groups, special education centers, vocational and vocational training institutions for children with disabilities and associations of people with disabilities in some districts in Hanoi attended the communication event "Children’s Voice" at Thong Nhat Park, Hanoi.

WELL PREPARE TO RESPOND TO NATURAL DISASTERS

Aiming at managing the current and future risks of and cultivating resilience for natural disasters, within the framework of the project "Comprehensive model for community resilience in Thua Thien Hue province", Save the Children and the province’s Standing Office of the Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescuesupported the local authorities of Phu Dien and Phu Gia communes, Phu Vang district, in conducting the Community Based Disaster Risk Assessment.

SPREADING MESSAGES FOR PEACE WITH UNIQLO AND SAVE THE CHILDREN

Since June 2022, the PEACE FOR ALL project launched by UNIQLO has cooperated with influencers from multiple areas to design T-shirts with meaningful messages to support peace efforts worldwide. The purpose of this project is to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by poverty, discrimination, violence, conflict and natural disasters, through development organizations including The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Save the Children, and Plan International.

Online learning amidst the COVID-19 pandemic: QUANG BINH DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING IMPROVEs TEACHER’S CAPACITY IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

In April 2021, Vietnam experienced the fourth wave of COVID-19 that led to more than 2.5 million infected cases in February 2022 and a number of heavy economic and social impacts on the local communities. As schools were forced to close, teachers and students in affected areas had to switch to online-based distance education, however, schools and teachers still find it challenging to apply online teaching.

On 17 February 2022, in Thua Thien Hue province, Save the Children in collaboration with its local partner, the Standing Office of Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue of Thua Thien Hue province and another Consortium’s member- HelpAge International organized the launch event of “Comprehensive Model for Community Resilience in Thua Thien Hue province” project.
