On March 16 – 18, 2021, Save the Children coordinated with Tien Giang Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to organize a road safety training for the Traffic Police Division of Tien Giang Province, Traffic Police Team of My Tho City, Ward/Communal Police, Youth Union, Local Militia and Self-Defense Force, Civil Defense, Residential Groups who have joined the community task forces in Trung An and Phuoc Thanh communes, Wards 1 and 5 in My Tho city.

 

In Yen Bai, ethnic minority women still have to carry out heavy farming work whilst receiving inadequate nutrition during their pregnancy. The consequence is that many infants are born prematurely. In 2014, the NICU was established in Nghia Lo hospital, but the physicians still lack professional expertise and medical equipment to take care of sick newborn babies.
