Save the Children supports children and families affected by recent flooding in southern central part of Vietnam

Monday 2 December 2013

Save the Children provided 500 households kits, 500 hygiene kits and 500 education kits for children and families in two communes in Nghĩa Hành District of Quảng Ngãi Province affected by the flood that hit the southern central part of Viet Nam late November.

The distribution is a part of the aid agency’s relief programme in the southern central part in the next three months.

A week earlier, Save the Children had provided education kits for nearly 400 children in Nhon Phuc and Nhon Hoa Communes, An Nhon Township in Binh Dinh Province

Save the Children has been working in Vietnam since 1990 and has responded to all major emergencies in that time. Most recently, the aid agency has responded to the aftermath of Wutip and Nari storms reaching thousands worst-affected people with basic household items, hygiene kits, education kits, shelter and livelihood recovery cash grants.
