Vietnam Launch of “Improving quality of education for deprived children in Vietnam” project - period 2022-2024 | Khởi động dự án “Nâng cao chất lượng giáo dục cho trẻ em thiệt thòi tại Việt Nam” - giai đoạn 2022-2024
On February 3rd and 23rd 2023, the launching workshops of “Improving Quality of Education for Deprived Children in Vietnam” project 2022-2024 period were held respectively in Dong Thap province and Hai Phong city to introduce the project plan, roles, and responsibilities of related stakeholders. The two workshops were held with a total participation of more than 100 delegates, including representatives of the Dong Thap and Hai Phong Departments of Education and Training and the Bureau of Education and Training; preschools and primary schools participating in the project and local government departments.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice director of the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training shared: "The launching workshop today is the first activity of the project “Improving the Quality of Education for Deprived Children in Vietnam - Phase 3” in preschools and primary schools in Thap Muoi district, Dong Thap province. The ideas and discussions exchanged at the workshop today helped all of our delegates, especially the Project Management Boards at all levels, to understand the implementation plan, the interventions as well as the requirements, the quality and output of the activity in the next two years so as to contribute to improving the quality of education for disadvantaged children in the locality".
The project “Improve the Quality of Education for Deprived children in Vietnam” is implemented by Save the Children together with the Department of Teachers and Education Administrators, the Departments of Education and Training of Dong Thap province and Hai Phong city from 2022 to 2024. The project contributes to improving the quality of teaching and home learning environment for children aged 3 to 11 years old in Viet Nam, especially those most affected by inequality and discrimination.

Vào ngày 3 và ngày 23 tháng 2 năm 2023, Hội thảo khởi động dự án “Nâng cao chất lượng giáo dục cho trẻ em thiệt thòi tại Việt Nam – Giai đoạn 2022-2024" đã được tổ chức tại tỉnh Đồng Tháp và thành phố Hải Phòng nhằm giới thiệu về kế hoạch dự án, vai trò và trách nhiệm của các bên có liên quan. Hai buổi hội thảo được tổ chức với sự tham gia của hơn 100 đại biểu, bao gồm đại diện Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo Đồng Tháp và Hải Phòng, Phòng Giáo dục và Đào tạo các huyện, đại diện các trường mầm non và tiểu học trực thuộc dự án và đại diện các Sở, Ban, ngành tại địa phương.
Ông Nguyễn Minh Tâm - Phó Giám đốc Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo tỉnh Đồng Tháp chia sẻ trong hội thảo: “Hôm nay là hoạt động đầu tiên, khởi động cho Dự án “Nâng cao chất lượng giáo dục cho trẻ em thiệt thòi ở Việt Nam - giai đoạn 2” tại các trường mầm non, tiểu học thuộc huyện Tháp Mười, tỉnh Đồng Tháp. Các ý kiến trao đổi, thảo luận tại hội thảo đã giúp tất cả các đại biểu chúng ta, đặc biệt là Ban Quản lý dự án các cấp nắm vững các nội dung thực hiện, những can thiệp cần triển khai cũng như yêu cầu về mặt chất lượng và đầu ra của hoạt động trong hai năm tới, góp phần cải thiện chất lượng giáo dục cho trẻ em thiệt thòi trên địa bàn.”
Dự án Nâng cao chất lượng giáo dục cho trẻ em thiệt thòi tại Việt Nam do Tổ chức Cứu trợ Trẻ em phối hợp với Cục Nhà giáo và Cán bộ Quản lý Giáo dục, Sở Giáo dục và Đào tạo tỉnh Đồng Tháp và thành phố Hải Phòng thực hiện. Dự án góp phần nâng cao chất lượng giảng dạy và môi trường học tập tại nhà cho trẻ em từ 3 đến 11 tuổi tại Việt Nam, đặc biệt là trẻ em chịu ảnh hưởng nhiều nhất của bất bình đẳng và phân biệt đối xử.
