DIGITAL LITERACY FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS IN LAO CAI PROVINCE

After receiving financial and technical support to set up computer labs in 2021, children and teachers in disadvantaged areas in Bao Thang, Muong Khuong, Bat Xat and Van Ban districts continued to be supported to participate in training courses on digitalization in education.  

In September and October, together with local partners, Save the Children organized 7 training courses focusing on distance education and cyber safety for core teachers and students.

Teachers were trained to utilize tools and software used in teaching and classroom management to create engaging lessons. Students got the chance to familiarize themselves with interactive sites like Kahoot and Quizizz, which created excitement and buzz in the classroom. Additionally, the information on risks and safety on the Internet was discussed among the group. 

This is an activity under the Child-Centered Community Development Program in Lao Cai province. Through the program, we want to ensure all children under 18 in the project area can learn, be protected, grow up healthy and contribute to a better society.
