Vietnam Save the Children participates in Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Early Childhood Development
From 4-6 December 2019, Hanoi hosted Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Early Childhood Development. This year conference was participated by over 600 representatives from 34 countries and 44 international organizations, including Save the Children.
With the theme of ‘Working across sectors to promote nurturing and sustainable environments for young children’, the conference focused on discussions around the quality of young children’s environments, and how environmental factors support or hinder their health and well-being. According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Mr. Vu Duc Dam, Government, organizations, communities and families need to work together in harmony to raise the awareness as well as take action in order for children to have comprehensive development, respected rights and all-rounded protection.
Trong ba ngày từ mùng 4 đến 6 tháng 12 năm 2019 vừa qua, Hội nghị phát triển toàn diện trẻ thơ khu vực châu Á - Thái Bình Dương đã được diễn ra tại Hà Nội. Năm nay tham dự hội nghị có hơn 600 đại biểu từ 34 quốc gia và 44 tổ chức quốc tế, bao gồm cả Tổ chức Cứu trợ Trẻ em. Với chủ đề "Tăng cường phối hợp liên ngành nhằm thúc đẩy môi trường an toàn và bền vững cho trẻ thơ", hội nghị tập trung vào thảo luận chất lượng môi trường sống cho trẻ em, thúc đẩy môi trường nuôi dưỡng để các em phát triển toàn diện và giảm thiểu tác động của môi trường độc hại đối với trẻ.
Theo Phó Thủ tướng Vũ Đức Đam, để trẻ em được phát triển toàn diện, quyền trẻ em được tôn trọng, bảo vệ đầy đủ thì cần sự phối hợp giữa Nhà nước, các tổ chức, cộng đồng doanh nghiệp, gia đình trong việc nâng cao nhận thức và hành động vì trẻ em.
